Mikneh Avraham: "Chidushei Dinim and Klalei HaTalmud" in alphabetical order by Rabbi Avraham Shirano. Approbation from Rabbi Refael Asher Kubo. First edition, Salonica, 1858. [1], 60, [1], 95 leaves. Stains, some leaves are partially detached, solitary light tears, overall fine condition. The title page and endpaper bear stamps of Rabbi Avraham Moshe Babad of Gora-Homura.

Rabbi Avraham Moshe Babad (1900-1980) was the son of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Babad of Gora-Homura. He was a chassidic Rabbi and Rosh Yeshivah in Bukovina and Israel. He was a close disciple of Rabbi Meir Arik of Tarnow and succeeded his father in the rabbinate of Gora-Homura. After the war, in 1948, he made aliya to Eretz Israel but was detained in Cyprus, where he served as rabbi of the detention camp. After moving to Eretz Israel, he was in close contact with the Chazon Ish. In around 1952, he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva of Yachel Yisrael of the Seret-Vishnitz chassidut that was headed by his brother-in-law, Admor Baruch Hager.
