Pilpulim and pshat on the Torah attributed to sages, by the gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Falk. 85 pages. 8x14cm. Cover page has a note in old Sefardi handwriting: “Bought by me the Zv”i Yehuda Birdogo” (see below). On the back of the cover page are two cursive sefardi signatures, in the body of the book are a number of handwritten notes. One of them is signed “Mashbi”r.” There are two sages by this name, one is the son of the Rosh Masbhir, but as mentioned in the introduction to that book his only son died at a young age. The second is the cousin of the Rosh Mashbir, a student he considered his son. This brother of Rabbi Yehuda Birdogo is the gaon Rabbi Mordechai Birdogo, known as the Marbitz. The copy bears moth damage and wear with damage to the text, generally ok condition.
