First page has a dedication and signature in Sefardi handwriting with an especially important stamp of ownership: “Ben Zion Meir Hai Uziel in Jerusalem” with another language as well. Stamp of ownership: “Library of the Mossad HaRav Kook, Machmani Uziel.” Notes in the body handwritten in nice Sefardi handwriting.
Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Hai Uziel, son of Rabbi Yosef Refael was the Mishpatei Uziel (1880-1953). He was a rabbi in Yafo in 1911, in Salonika in 1921 in place of Rabbi Yaakov Meir and Rabbi Emmanuel Brodo (temporarily), and then served in Tel Aviv (1923), in 1939 he was appointed the Rishon LeZiyyon, published articles in the Ma’or, the Posek, Kol Torah, Sha’arei Zion, and Talpiyot.
