Rare and unique relief, the original of such works. Portrait of Mendeley Mocher Sefarim, made by hand with enamelling and engraving on a thin material attached to cast zinc and lead. This item is the source from which copies were created, made by the Betzalel artist Shmuel Kritzamer, stamped by him and bearing the Betzalel stamp. Signs of use. Generally good condition. Shmuel Kritzamer (1891-1972) was an artist born in Poland. He moved to Jerusalem in 1912. He studied painting at Betzalel and worked as an engraver at the school. In 1913 he opened the “Seal Workshop” in Jerusalem and later established the “Patuach”, an artist workshop for seals and developments, and later established his factory “Kritzamer and sons.”
