Part of an envelope with new year’s blessings handwritten and signed by the Admor, Rabbi Haim Mordechai of Nadvorna, the Davar Haim (1903-1978), who was the eldest son of the Admor HaZaken of Nadvorna, Rabbi Itamar Rosenbaum; son-in-law of Rabbi Eliezer Zeev Kretshnif; father of Admor Rabbi Yaakov Issachar Beer of Nadvorna, who succeeded his father in Bnei Brak. His sons-in-law include: his brother-in-law Admor Rabbi David Moshe of Kretshnif, his nephew the Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum of Kretshnif-Sighet, and his cousin Rabbi Eliezer Zeev of Rachov. He served as Admor during his father’s life. He was exiled from city to city during the Shoah and then moved to Israel. He established the Nadvorna yeshiva in Bnei Brak which still bears his name, “Ma’amar Mordechai.”
