Sefer Akedat Yitzchak on the Parashiyot of the Torah and at its end, a commentary on Megillat Ester. By Rabbi Yitzchak Arama (1420-1494) known as Ba’al HaAkedah after this book, one of the sages of Spain during the expulsion. Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Zamora in northern Spain and Rav of Tarragona in southern Catalonia.

The press of Rabbi Shlomo Yaris Rappaort (the first printer of the holy book Noam Elimelech in 1788) – Lemberg, 1808. 12, 238, 73 leaves. The author’s name is not mentioned on the title page. Printed after Frankfurt an der Oder, 1785.

The book is based on the Parashiyot of the Torah and is composed of a hundred and five chapters, each of them divided into three. Throughout the book, Rabbeinu cites many Gedolei Yisrael who preceded him such as Rasag, Rabbi Yitzchak HaYisraeli. Ibn Gabirol, Rihal, Ibn Ezra and more. The book was accepted favorably by rabbis and Maggidim and had many editions, until it was said that "כל ספרי הדרשנים בדורות שלפנינו שותים ממימיו" (Shem Hagedolim by the Chida).

No binding. Moth perforations and some moth damage. Stains. Taping. Some restorations affecting the text. Perforations to the title page. Fair overall condition.

אברהם אבא במור"ס נ"י באהמאץ לאדז" / "מגור" – Rabbi Avraham Abba Bomatz, who was the son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Elazar Yustman of Piltz, the grandson of the Chidushei HaRim, who was known as the Siftei Tzadik after his book.

On the flyleaf, a signature: "
גרשון סג"ל לנדא" – we could noy identify him. There is also a notation indicating the book had belonged to him signed by "הק’ יונה לנדא אבד"ק….?". who we did not manage to identify.
