Lot 232:
Pamphlet Divrei Tzedek, a rewriting of a famous debate between Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon of Shepetivka and the Noda B’Yehuda, by the Chabad gaon Rabbi Avraham Chaim Na’eh, author of the Shiurin shel Torah. Jerusalem 1932.
Unique pamphlet! The author took the original wording of the debate, which had appeared in the pamphlet Divrei Noam (Warsaw, 1892) and added additional details and removed some things and changed the wording in some places. “There are big changes…it’s almost completely new, so many new things are included in this piece, and some things printed weren’t brought here, especially since it details the problems posed by the Noda B’Yehuda on history, not mentioned in the printings…and the respectful style toward the Noda B’Yehuda…but even if the wording is not true[!], in any case they are very nice.”
This is effectively an entirely new work. A clear Chassidic work, something which is quite rare for the author since he usually limited himself to the field of halacha. Scarce. 40 pages. Includes the original pink jacket. Very good condition.
