Lot 329:
Drashot on the Torah, compiled by Rav Gaon Chassid Moharar Yaakov Yosef HaKohen, whose teachings were in the holy community of Rashkov and Sarigrad and Nemrov, where he settled and served as Av Beit Din and Ram in the community of Polnay. The compiler, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef HaKohen of Polna was a direct student of the Ba’al Shem Tov, this book is the first Chassidic book that brings his teachings from its source—the author heard the words directly from the mouth of the Ba’al Shem Tov, and they are the first source for the teachings of Chassidut. It is known that during the war against the Chassidim, this book underwent great criticism by the Misnagdim, who were shocked by the criticism printed against them, and the fact that this book was printed without endorsements made it ok to burn them, and that is the reason for the rarity of this edition. Copy is missing portions—they are filled in with facsimiles and professional restorations. (1) 202 page. Cover page and pages 3,4,81,82,113-128, 181, 182, 200 are photocopies. (in total, 23 pages are copied). Restored pages too. Most of the pages are in generally good condition. Others in ok-to-good condition, moth damage in a few spots, stains, bound with leather, with a cardboard box covered in leather as well.
