Lot 428:
Recommendation letter written by a lawyer and notary. In English. Margins of the paper have signatures of the Rabbi of Jerusalem, Gaon HaRav Shmuel Salant with his stamp, the Gaon HaRav Eliyahu David Rabinowitz with his stamp. Approval and stamp of the notary saying that these rabbis signed it. It is known that in his old age Rav Shmuel Salant’s sight weakened, and he asked the Aderet to move to Jerusalem in 1901, but the Aderet died during his lifetime. Letter known to be the signature of Reb Salant during the time of his weakened vision. Rare letter with important signatures, good condition.
