Lot 363:
Wordplay and pshatim on the Torah of the sages of the generation, by Gaon HaRav Yehoshua Flak. 85 pages. Amongst the pages are a number of handwritten glosses. One is signed at the end “Mashbir.” The title page has the signature “HaTzvi Yehuda Birdogo.” There were two sages by this name, one was the son of the Rosh Mashbir, and in the introduction to the book Rosh Mashbir, the author writes that his only son died in his youth. The second is the cousin of the Rosh Mashbir, one of his students and who was considered like a son to him; the brother of this Rabbi Yehuda Birdogo was the Gaon HaRav Mordechai Birdogo, known as the Marbeetz. Book was damaged in a fire and is worn with damage to the text, most of the glosses were damaged in part, only one (the longest) remains intact and can be read.
