Lot 345:
Hotem Emet, Jerusalem 1947. On the enveloping cover and the title page of the book the Rav Yosef Waltuch has signed it twice. From Zlotshov, in his youth he lived in the Old City of Jerusalem and every days would secretly enter the Kabbalist yeshiva Beit El. In his sleep he understood and took notice of every idea quickly, and tended to write in every book that he completed “Mogah.” He would visit the graves of Tzadikim across Israel and would discover wonders and the souls of these Tzadikim, but he insisted never to go to Har Meron on Lag BaOmer to visit the Rashbi because there were always so many people. During one of his prayers it is said that he saw Rachel Imenu wrapped in black clothes. In Iyar 1983, he told his students he would return to Jerusalem and set out for the graves of Tzadikim in the Galil. When he left Har Meron he told his students that he didn’t feel well, asked for some soda water. When they bought it for him, he finished the blessing for it, fainted, was brought to the hospital in Tzfat, and he gave up his soul. New binding. Water stains.
