Questions and answers by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Abuhatzira, the Abir Yaakov. Brought to the publisher by his son, Rabbi Aaron Abuhatzira in Jerusalem, with endorsements of the great rabbis in Jerusalem, the Rishonim LeZiyyon HaRav Yaakov Shaul Alisher and HaRav Refael Meir Fanigil, HaRav eliyahu Saliman Mani and HaRav Rahamim Yosef Franko (the Harif) with endorsements of the rabbis of Tiberias and Tzfat. Rabbi Yaakov did not agree to print his books during his lifetime, many times his eldest son asked him to give permission to print them but he said he would appear to his son in a dream after his death and would tell him if his books found favor with God and if so, he could print them. After his death he did appear to his son in a dream and told him he could print them. Most were printed between 1884-1888 in Jerusalem by his sons (Chochmei HaMizrach, p. 175). On the page after the title page is the handwritten signature of the Gaon HaRav Yaakov Hai Zrihan, one of the head rabbis of Tiberias, compiler of the books “Shofraya d’Yaakov” and “Bechorei Yaakov,” generally good condition, a number of loose pages, water stains, fragile pages. Worn volume
