1. Questions and answers “Nuda B’Yehuda,” Tnayna Edition from the Gaon HaRav Yehezkel Segel Landa, 2 sections bound together, 2 separate title pages. Lemberg 1858. With additions and glosses from HaRav Yosef Shaul HaLevi Natanson, Av Beit Din of Lviv, first edition. On the page before the title page is a rhyming poem in the handwriting of the compiler; at the end of his book he writes a riddle “My name is not agla and wonder, it is the first letter of my name and the second of the name, and the third (the writing is damaged and worn away)…and the third is the first, and the fifth…” Signed by Yehoshua of Prilika. Amongst the book are a number of didactic glosses in Ashkenazi handwriting from the period. 2. Questions and Answers “Yehuda Ya’ale,” Lemberg 1875, missing the title page. On the introduction page there is the stamp of Rav Shmuel Zalman Weinberger, the Av Beit Din of Margita and the Galilee—son of Rav Yehoshua Aaron Zvi Weinberger, he filled his position in the Rabbinate of Margita and the surrounding area for 40 years. He studied in the Pressburg yeshiva with HaRav Simha Bonem, author of “Shevet Sofer,” son of the Katav Sofer and grandson of the Hatam Sofer. His son was Rav Mordechai Azriel, who took his place after his death. Books are of different sizes and conditions. Moth damage and defects.
