Lot 107:
“Commentary on the Rambam” by HaRav David Arama, Amsterdam 1706, (2) 85 pages, 18cm. Rabbi David Arama, born in Salonika in the year 1525, his important exegesis was written when he was 20 years old (see the introduction) and the great Achronim utilize his writings—one of the most important commentaries on the Rambam. On the title page of the book is the signature of the Rav Shlomo Haim Carmi—from the judges of Livorno in the year 1740, the brother of the Gaon Rebbe Mordechai Carmi HaMa’amar Mordechai, he also wrote an introduction to his brother’s book, compiled the book Heshek Shlomo. An additional signature on the title page “To A. Koni HaTzvi from Davash”—the Rabbi David ben Shimon from the known rabbis of Egypt compiled the book “The Gate of the Garden” “Gate of the Commander” and more, father of Rabbi Rafael Aaron ben Shimon who compiled “Nahar Mitzra’im” (The River of Egypt.” Additional signatures on the titles page, moth damage and dark and big stains.
