Sefer Nezer Hakodesh, lengthy and comprehensive commentary on Midrash Rabba by Rabbi Yechiel Michl ben Rabbi Uziel of Halberstadt.  

Appearing on the title page are details about the author. Among others, it says that he studied Torah in the Halberstadt community at the Beit Midrash of the Naggid Rabbi Yissachar Berman Segal who donated money to publish the book, referring to the famed Jewish intercessor whose figure inspired the book Yoetz Hamelech by Rabbi Meir Lehman. In recognition of his help in publishing the book, it was printed on the upper part of the title page: "שמח זבולון בצאתיך ויששכר באהליך".

First edition – Jessentiz, 1719. [6], 484, [7] leaves. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. Approbations by the rabbis of Frankfurt, Berlin, Halberstadt and Gluga as well as the rabbis of Amsterdam and Dessau. 

Thick volume. New binding. Wide margins. The title page and first leaves are professionally restored. Stains. Good overall condition. 

On the upper part of the title page, an ancient signature: "…שמעון הירש מפירדא רבתי? תק"פ?…." referring to Rabbi Shimon Hirsch Weill, the son of the famed Gaon Rabbi Netanel Weill, the author of Korban Netanel on the Rosh. Already in his youth was a partner to his father’s work. Later, he published his father’s book Netiv Chaim – comments on the Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim and its commentators and authored the work Nachalat Shimon.
