Ashkenazi handwritten copy of Chidushei Mahari ben Lev -al all Masechet Gittin, identity of the copier unknown fancy new cover size 27/19 cm, over 45 page. Rabbi Yosef Ben David Abn Lev (1505 – 1580 ) was among the scholars of Salonika in the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. Better known abbreviated name of the old Mahari heart Rival (sometimes Rival) is moved from Thessaloniki to Istanbul where he served as head of the Yeshiva under the auspices of the President Donna Garcia, until his death in(1580) value.
