Sefer Kerovot, which is a Machzor for Pesach, Shavu’ot and Sukkot, edited by Rabbi Wolf ben Rabbi Shimshon Hindenheim, known as the Raveh. Printed in Rodelheim 1840. [2], 10, 62, 60, 4, 66, 104, 12 leaves. Two ttile pages.
Stains. Many signs of usage. Old binding, fine fabric spine, embossed – unraveled. Good overall condition, especially for a prayer book that is frequently used.
On the flyleaf, a notation: "תבענה שפתי תהלה לאלקי אבותינו כי חנן בזה אותי עבדו אליעזר בהרב המנוח מו"ה מרדכי הלוי זצ"ל" – the Gaon Rabbi Dr. Eliezer Halevi of London, a disciple of the Chatam Sofer who was famed as Sir Moshe Montefiore’s Secretary.
