Lot 272:
Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Avraham Leib requesting the addressee to assist Rabbi Leib Savitzky. Sent to Reb Zalman Levin of Tzernigow. [Horosteipel, late 19th century or early 20th century). At the end of the letter: "הנני הכותב בפקודת אדמו"ר שליט"א, אברהם ליב מאנשי הרה"ק מהארנאסטייפאליע". (I am writing by the order of the Admor Shlita, Avraham Leib… Horonsteipel).
Then the writer adds that the letter was written and signed by him and not by the Admor due to the sanctity of Chol HaMoed. Appraently, he is referring the the Admor Rabbi Mordechai Dov Twersky author of Toreu Zahav. The Admor passed away in 1903. Letters by him are extremely rare. Letters by the Admorim of Horosteipel from these years are extremely rare!
