He even started planning to move, an apartment was acquired for him in Petah Tikva. He gathered the residents of Radin in the synagogue and requested forgiveness from anyone if he had taken anything from them for during that time he worked in merchandise, and he gave money to buy a well from which anyone of the residents could take water for free. On the day before he was supposed to travel his wife fell ill and the journey was delayed. On the page before us is rare evidence of the fact that the Chafetz Haim decided not to move to Israel.
