Lot 351:
Keter Torah (the five books with ta’amim), books of Genesis and Exodus. Genesis is from Ch. 1, verse 27, and ends with Exodus Chapter 40, verse 21. Old, handsome Yemenite writing, ink on paper in large block lettering, vowels, and ta’amim. The margins are decorated with the text “HaMesorah” in small letters. Some of the lower portions of pages have the text of the Mesorah as a checkered carpet. The letter “kuf” has its leg attached to its top, the letter alef has its upper leg attached. The Tajj is constructed from 17 lines. Every 3 pages are equal to a page of the Sefer Torah (51 lines). The Tajj was dedicated to the Beit Knesset of the Maharitz. In sheets of the Tajj there are few notes related to subtractions or additions. At least two are related to grammar (it could be examined whether these are from the Maharitz. The book was at one point owned by Maari Salam Tzalach ben Rabbi Abraham Ninh Maharitz served as a judge in Sana’a. 16th century, approximately. Around 155 pages written on both sides, 26cm. Not bound, pages defective and disconnected, heavy moth marks with damage to text, unprofessional repairs with adding of text, stains from time, wear, generally bad condition.
