Lot 240:
Sefer Al HaAdam, philosophical essays and letters, written by the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum Friedman of Itzkan-Shtefanesht, son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov, who did not appreciate his son-in-law’s work, which was well-versed in world literature, including Plato, Aristotle, Spinoza, Kant, Schiller, Nietzsche, and others. The author was also proficient in Jewish philosophical literature. This knowledge is reflected in his writings, in which he combined the ultra-orthodox worldview with thoughts from world literature.
First and only edition, Kishinev 1932. 55 pages. Printed jacket binding (defective, with tape). A few stains and tears in the margins. Overall good condition.
