Buyer's premium:

Volume of the Chafetz Chaim with “Moga” written in pencil on the binding leaf. Contains:

1. Chafetz Chaim, Warsaw edition 1884, an earlier edition printed seven years after the first edition.
2. Shmirat HaLashon, Warsaw 1895.
3. Ahavat Chesed, Warsaw 1893.
4. Shem Olam, Warsaw 1895.
The blank binding leaf has the word “Moga” twice in pencil, handwritten by the Chafetz Chaim himself. The Chafetz Chaim’s wish to avoid any semblance of gezel is well-known—all books printed for him he would check thoroughly for any printing defects or errors, and only after checking each copy would write “Moga” and thus approve it for sale.
