Joint  letter by the Gaon Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin of Luck and his son Rabbi Elchanan. Sent to the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Zvi (Zeidil) Smiatitzki, the son-in-law opf the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Shneider, Rosh Yeshiva of Torat Emet Schneider. Jerusalem, Av [1947]. 

In the letter, Rabbi Elchanan invites Rabbi Zeidel to his wedding with Mrs. Tzilah Orlian, a student of Sarah Schnirer. Rabbi Zeidel was th ematchmaker and the letter demonstrates Rabbi Elchana’s appreciation of him. 

On the margins of the letter, Rabbi Zalman added 9 lines handwritten and signed by him, joining his son’s invitation: "ואם א"א הדבר (-לבוא לחתונה) מחמת ריחוק מקום, הלא הלבבות קרובים מאד, וההנו בטוחים כי בליל החתונה תזכירו אותנו לטובה (ואנו אתכם – השליחים הטובים – ), ותברכו את הצמד ות[ת]פללו, כי יאמר ה’ לדבק טוב, ויבנו בית נאמן בישראל… מוקירו ומברכו מציון, ידידו עוז, זלמן סורוצקין".
