Lot 154:
Volume with several books, pocket format:
1. "Ma’asseh Nissim which is Sherit Yisrael … a story about the truths of the Sambation River, its origin and route and the Jews living there… and a copy of letter sent from there to Jerusalem in 1690…" Compiled by Rabbi Moshe ben Yitzchak Edrei. Accompanied by Mamar Kiddush Hashem by Rabbi Mordechai David Berkovich.
Published by the Agudat Shivtei Yeshurun company – Jerusalem, 1911. 40 pp. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. On verso of the title page, the goals of the company and beneath them, its official stamp.
2. Kuntres Kedavar BeIto by the Gaon the Aderet. Second edition of the author’s first work and the first with this title (the first edition was titled Kuntres Zecher Lamikdash) in his lifetime – Jerusalem, 1904. Originally, 12 leaves. In this copy, 8 leaves only and the other section of the work is missing.
3. Seder Hapurim Hameshulash "and Seder Erev Pesach which occurs on Sabbath and the customs of Purim and Passover eve of this year", edited in 1896 by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and reprinted – Jerusalem, 1910. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. On the last page, a picture of the Temple Mount with the mosque on it and the inscription: "והיה עיני ולבי שם כל הימים – מרום מראשון מקום מקדשנו".
The books are detached in their entirety from the binding. Some tears to edges. Minor stains. Good overall condition.
On the front flyleaf, a notation: "זה הספר שייך להרב ר’ יעקב נ"י ב"ר ישראל זצ"ל געליס כפעה"ק ירושלים ת"ו".
