Two books—Ashrei HaIsh and Kumi Roni—by the kabbalist Rabbi Yeshaya Asher Selig Margaliyot. Both books have notes handwritten by the author.


1. A work of zealotry, Ashrei HaIsh, on the prohibition of partnering with rasha’im (evil-doers), specifically related to the question of working with the Zionists to build Israel. First edition, Jerusalem 1927. The book’s opening has a long letter from Rabbi Shlomo Eliezer Alfandery, on working with the Zionists. The title page has the signature of Rabbi Ephraim Shmuel Lerner, head of the Shaar HaShamayim yeshiva. The first blank leaf has a handwritten note from the author. 78 leaves. Moisture stains, good condition.

2. Kumi Roni, collection of matters from the Tikkun Chatzot based on the Arizal, with holy names. First edition, Jerusalem 1925. The blank first leaf has a handwritten note from the author “see Siman 22 and enjoy a lot” (in this section he discusses “going up the wall” and challenging the nations and spiritual work necessary to speed the coming of the Messiah).
