Masoret Habrit Hagadol, is exactly what it sounds like a thousand six hundred and fifty wonderful Masorot on all twenty four books, by Rabbi Meir Angel (ben Rabbi Avraham, who lived and operated in the 16th/17th century and was the disciple of Rabbi Shmuel Uzida, Rabbi Chaim Vital and more, author of Keshet nechusha) who authored several years earlier the book Masoret Habrit. To this edition he added many additions, thus titled Masoret Habrit Hagadol.

The press of Yehuda Shmuel of Prusha – First edition, Mantova, 1622. Originally, 84;102 leaves. This copy begins with leaf 6 and ends with leaf 96. Leaves 10 and 11 are missing.
In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.

No binding. Moth damage and perforations. Detached leaves. Poor overall condition.

Inside the book, on the margins of the leaves, are
dozens of comments and novellae in Sephardic script, including some lengthy and significant ones. Signed: "
הצעיר אברהם אסא
בכ"ר יצחק אסא זלה"ה". Possibly, this is Rabbi Avraham Assa (lived and operated in the early 18th century) ben Rabbi Yitzchak. Was one of the leading translators into Ladino who translated into Ladino many basic books such as the Bible and the Shulchan Aruch.

Apparently, the content of the comments was not printed.

An additional Sephardic comment is signed at its beginning: "אמר חי עוזיאל ה"י" – has not been thoroughly examined.
