Bi’urei HaZohar by Admor Rabbi Dov Beer, with words that he heard from his father, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liady, the Admor HaZaken, who gave a drash every erev Shabbos to his children. Second edition with additional words that had never been printed before, added to the Kapost 1816 edition. [2], 84, 40, 31-34, 25 (supposed to be 20) leaves. Separate title page for the additions from this edition, included at the end of the book.

Antique binding, leather spine, stains, spine is eaten away at the edges, folds and creases in the margins, overall good condition.

The blank first leaf has a signature of ownership: “This book belongs to the rabbi gaon gadol charif … Moshe David HaKohen Dak…Kasov.” This seems to be the gaon Rabbi Moshe David HaKohen Kligsberg (1824-1894), a gaon of Poland who was Av Beit Din of Kasov and then Av Beit Din of Stardin, and in the end Av Beit Din of Kolshin. He was the son of Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaKohen, a motz in Warsaw, and son-in-law of the tzaddik Admor Rabbi Yehezkel of Kozmir, forefather of the Kozmir-Modzhitz dynasty. He closely followed his father-in-law, and printed his divrei torah in the book Nechmad MiZahav. He also studied under the Admor Rabbi Yitzhak of Worka.
