Eight names of people to pray for, handwritten by the Chazon Ish on a letter sent to him by his nephew, Rabbi Chaim Greineman. Besides his great genius, the Chazon Ish dedicated great power to his prayer and he wrote: “With any hit I am strengthened to ready my belief because nothing is done by chance, rather only through the hashgacha of Hashem and I work hard in prayer to help the decree pass.” Indeed, the Chazon Ish’s house served as a destination for those needing advice and prayers.

The letter seems to have been written when Rabbi Greineman was studying at the Lomza yeshiva. He asks the Chazon Ish if he may return to Bnei Brak for a few hours every Friday, even though it had been agreed that he would not return for Shabbat, since “throughout the week I gather things that require solutions and I cannot find them anywhere but Bnei Brak. He mentions his hevruta with his cousin, Rabbi Chaim Shaul Karlitz, who was older than him and lived at that time in Petah Tikva. The letter is three pages, one of them in the Chazon Ish’s handwriting and 2 by Rabbi Chaim Greineman.

8x13cm. Moisture stains, small holes, good condition.
