The Gaon Chassid Rabbi Moshe Kliers (1874-1934) was head of the Chassidic community in Tiberias, was the city’s rabbi, Rosh Yeshivat Chayei Olam. He married the daughter of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Kostlitz of the Slonim Admorim family. He was appreciated by all those of his generation, participated in the journey visiting moshavot with Rabbi Yosef Chaim Zonenfeld and Rav Kook in 1914 and was offered to serve as Ga’avad of the Eida Haredit as the heir to Rav Zonenfeld, but the position didn’t come to pass in the end. He wrote Tabur HaAretz, Torat HaAretz, and Moreshet Moshe.
