Letter handwritten by the Admor of Tolna-Philadelphia, addressed to the Chayei Olam yeshiva. Philadelphia 1930.
The content of the letter is regarding donations sent by acquaintances of the rabbi to the Chayei Olam yeshiva. Admorim and rabbis of the US served as centers of donations from Diaspora Jews for Israeli indigent people and holy institutions. Many letters on this subject exist to/from such figures.

The Admor Rabbi Moshe Zvi Twersky of Tolna (1890-1972) was the son of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Tolna and grandson of Rabbi David of Tolna. On his mother’s side he had yichus to the Rahak Rabbi Moshe of Savran and through him to the Besht and the Ohev Yisrael of Opatow. He was the son-in-law of the Rahag Rabbi Meshulam Zusha of Krilovitz, served as Admor in Tulchin, and then in Soroka. When the situation in Europe deteriorated he immigrated to the US and settled in Philadelphia.
