Letter handwritten and signed with the original envelope sent with his handwritten name on it, from the posek hador Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. Addressed to members of the family of Rabbi Yitzhak Epstein—Av Beit Din in Tel Aviv, a founder of the Army Rabbinate and an editor of the Talmudic Encyclopedia.

In the letter, Rav SZA offers much praise for the departed and writes: “Though we knew about the disease ravaging him we were still extremely shocked by the sad news…”. He ends “May he merit the light of the geulah and yeshua, and look forward to it soon..”. Signed by hand.

Creases, tear to the envelope (the stamp was removed from it).
