Lot 198:
Letter handwritten and signed by the Tzaddik Rabbi Shimon Natan Neta of Lalov, from Monday, 6th of Shvat (no year noted). Addressed to “his honor the Rahatz kabbalist Rabbi Menachem Menchin shlita”—Rabbi Menachem Menchin Mendel Rabinowitz (1890-1987), the author of: Mevaser v’Omer, Shuvo shel HaBoreh, Tikkun HaMiddot, Refuah v’Cheshbon HaNefesh, and more.
In the beginning he requests humbly his forgiveness for having not been able to reply to his letter until now. Later is interesting content: “I [wish to] inform you that a son was born to me on 10th of Tevet and I named him Yisrael Yitzhak Yaakov…may it be His will that I raise him for Torah, chuppah, and maasim tovim …”
Here he moves on to another equally fascinating subject that testifies to his famous concern for all people, materially and actual emotional preoccupation: “the money for the past two months from Bituach Leumi I withdrew to Bank Leumi in his account, I hereby send another two authorizations. Regarding rent please send a copy of the earlier receipt from the bank so that I can take care of payment for Adar-Iyar. With much respect, Shimon Natan Neta ben Etil.”
In the margins is an additional note: “regarding a place to sleep on Chag Pesach I will try to take care of something for him”. Instead of a signature he signed “as above”.

The Admor Rabbi Shimon Natan Neta Beiderman was the Admor of Lalov. Apart from the hundreds of chassidim who followed him, thousands wrote to him for advice and blessings. Among his followers was Rabbi Yitzhak David Grossman. On the eve of Yom Kippur 2010 after davening Kol Nidrei, he went to his room and died. On Motzei Yom Kippur he was buried surrounded by thousands on the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem.
