Long letter on the subject of the Heter 100 Rabbanim, by Rabbi Eliyahu Zeev Kotzin, addressed to Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein. In the letter, the author details the case of a woman who ran away from her husband and her husband could not attain the heter 100 (perhaps because there weren’t enough rabbis in the US). He details the possible solution, using “haknayaot get”, and asks the permission of Rav Moshe Mordechai.

It is an interesting halachic subject. 22x28cm. Filing holes with light defects to the text. Wear in the margins, good condition.

Rabbi Eliyahu Zeev Kotzin (1871-1947) was the student of Rabbi Yitzhak Elchanan of Kovna. He was certified as a rabbi by Rabbi Shlom HaKohen of Vilna and the Aruch HaShulchan. He served in the rabbinate of Dombrowitz in Lithuania and after some years moved to the US and served as rabbi of Pittsburgh.
