A clarification regarding priority for tzedakah money taken for Israel’s poor, released by Rabbi Shmuel Salant of Jerusalem, 1887. He clarifies that the first destination of the donations is the general Knesset Yisrael kupah, and that what had seemingly been written in his name, that the Etz Hayyim yeshiva had priority, was incorrect! The source of the error was a mistake in the Israelite newspaper which translated his words into English. Extremely rare, not in the bibliographic databases.

19.5x25cm, glued to other paper, tears with damage to text, folding creases, fair condition.
