Siddur Beit Yaakov Emdin—on the last leaf is a long and emotional inscription from Rabbi Yochanan Rubenstein, father of Rabbi Chaim Dov Rubenstein, on the miracle that took place for him in the state’s early days and the yahrzeit of the Chiddushei HaRim.

He writes on the day of the Hilula of the Admor: “A day of demonstrations against the White Paper of the Evil Kingdom [England], I was heavily injured by police of the aforementioned Evil Kingdom and I received a severe concussion…and the merit of the Admor stood with me…and I remained alive…and the first year I made a huge seudah…and I now do this every year.”

Also appearing are notes of the birth of his children, Rabbi Chaim Dov Ephraim, Ita Henia, Menachem Mendel, Moshe Yehuda.

Partially missing copy (missing up to 15th leaf). Worming holes, no binding, fair condition.
