Oil painting on canvas: shows a road in a Jewish town with its old, decrepit houses, with two walking figures—an Admor helped by his assistant, while the Admor greets a 3rd man standing opposite them. All are wearing Chassidic shabbat clothes and boots. Under the jacket is a tallis, which reflects that the picture is set on Shabbat morning, after shacharit.
Authentic painting in color showing the exilic nature of Jewish life in Europe. Signed “K. Szewczenko”, born in Poland 1915 (died 1995).
