The title page has a signature from the Admor Rabbi Yehezkel HaLevi Holstock of Ostrovtza, son of the Admor Rabbi Meir Yehiel and the second Admor of Ostrovtza. “Belong to the young Yehezkel HaLevi ben Gahak Admor Maran shlita.” Also an erased stamp from his time as Av Beit Din of Inovolodz.

Rabbi Yehezkel HaLevi Holstock (1887-1943) was the second Admor of Ostrovtza, son of the Admor Rabbi Meir Yehiel. He was one of the greatest followers of Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov. He served in the rabbinate of Inovolodz and then in Naslesk. Already during his father’s lifetime he was known as a tzaddik, and upon his father’s death he succeeded him in Ostrovtza as Av Beit Din and Admor. He also led the Beit Meir yeshiva there, until he was murdered in the Shoah.
