Chayei HaMussar, articles and sayings from the sages of the Mussar movement, with maamarim from Rabbi Yosef Wozzel Horwitz, Rabbi Shmulevitz’s grandfather, published by students of the Beit Yosef yeshiva in Ostrovtza. The blank first page has the signature of Maran Rabbi Chaim Shmulevitz, Rosh Yeshivat Mir and author of Sichot Mussar. Tape on the back of the binding, very good condition.

Rabbi Moshe Feinstock wrote about him: “The entire world rests on the shoulders of Rabbi Haim.” Rabbi Haim Leib Shmuelevitz (1902-1979) was nicknamed „Haim Stochiner” after his city of birth, Stochin. He served as Rosh Yeshivat Mir in Lithuania, succeeding his father-in-law, while they were in Shanghai during World War II and then in Israel.
