Apparently the association was ended abruptly with the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. The association was intended to help one another with all the things needed, for advice and money, and when the members signed it they were bound by all the regulations that appear in the "Association book", the book is signed by six people, and as was the custom in those days they had a chairman and a deputy … The book has a form for joining the association (a sort-of ketubah), written by hand by a sofer and signed by the members.

The book also has 31 takanot that are required of all members. Section 25 has written: “each one should write his signature…and he is thereby considered a member, and he cannot release himself from the association…and even if he fails to carry out even the minimum of the takanot he is considered only a rebel in the great idea of the association, but to be considered as released from the association’s obligations, that’s not possible!”.

Thick volume, of which only 16 pages are written. Two detached leaves, very good condition.
