אסיפת הרבנים היראים דמדינתנו – hisotrical letter by the Rav Dr. Meir Zvi Jung, an invitation to a conference of the union of rabbis of the Austria-Hungary Empire – addressed to Rabbi Chaim Brody, who was then Rav of Nachod – sent from Brod, Hungary – 1901.
"כי ברב עם הדרת מלך"
Background: in the 1900s Rabbi Jung came up with the idea of establishing an organization of orthodox rabbis in the Austria-Hungary Empire, to cope with educational problems which reached their peak in those days. Possibly, this initiative headed its time and was evetually realized svereal tears later with the establishment of Agudat Yisrael.
In his letter, Rabbi Jung informs the Av Beit Din of Nachod about the conference, pleading with him to attentd: "אסיפת הרבנים תהי’ כאשר הודעתי לידידי.. ביום כו תמוז אחר תפלת מנחה ואכפל שאלתי.. נא בטובו להודעיני אם יבוא כאשר אקוה כי ברב עם הדרת מלך…".
Rare! Letters and authographs by the Av Beit Din of Brod are extremely rare!

Rabbi Meir Zvi Jung (1858-1923) a disciple of the Maharam Shick and the Shevet Sofer served as Rav of Manheim and Brod and since 1912, as the Chief Rabbi of the Chareidi community of London. Was revered by his contemporaries. Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky titles him in a letter that was preserved "הרב הגדול לממשלת התורה"
