Large collection of drafts of letters handwritten by Rabbi Hillel Medalia, Chidushei Torah, letters in English, letters that were sent to him from all over the world – English, Hebrew and Yiddish.

A treasure for the history of English orthodox Jewry after World War II.

Rabbi Hillel Medalia (1917-1977), son of the Gaon Rabbi Shmaryahu Yehuda Leib Av Beit Din of Moscow. He was one of the leaders of the Mizrachi movement in England and served as Rav of Leeds (England), Dublin (Ireland) and Antwerp (Belgium). He published a book, which he titled ‘Shilo’, alluding to the name of his father – Shmaryahu Yehuda Leib, in conjunction with his name – Hillel. He also edited the Shulchan Aruch with an English translation.
