Lot 32:
Selichot for the year cycle. On the title page, a fine rhymed inscription detailing the Selichot: "בחדש אלול ותשרי, ולחדש עשירי, ולתענית אסתר, וי"ז תמוז להחזיר עטרה וכתר, ובה"ב וער"ח ניסן וער"ח אב, להסיר צער וכאב, ושובבי"ם ת"ת להציל מחתת". According to the ttile page, based on the custom of the Nuremberg comunity, adopted also by the Furth cimmunity.
Reprinted as in Wilhelmsdorf – Furth, 1756. [2], 106 leaves. In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library. Finely engraved title page. Many marks and stains of usage. Tear stains. Some moth damage. Ancient semi-leather binding, worn and unraveled. Some tears. Leather straps for tying. Fair overall condition, especially for a prayer book that is frequently used.
On the title page, a notation: "זה הסליחה שייך להאשה חשובה מרת גאלע תחי’ אשת האלוף ר’ משה וויזר סג"ל". Beneath it, an addiitonal notation with the name Yehoshua Katz Goldberger.
