Sefer Birkei Yosef, Chidushei Dinim and Pilpulim on the four sections of the Shulchan Aruch, by Rabbeinu Chaim Yosef David Azulai, the Chida. Second edition – Wien, 1860. [4], 136, 74 [i.e. 94], 25, [1], 44 leaves. Separate title page for each section. At the beginning, a generic title page with red lettering. 

Loose front board. Title page and several leaves are detached as a gathering. A tear to one of the title pages. Moth perforations and damage. Stains. Most of the leaves are in good condition. 

On the flyleaf, a pen notation: "לד’ הארץ ומלואה נחום רבינוביץ" – see below. Inside the book, handwritten comments, some of them lengthy and significant, apparently handwritten by the above Admor. 

Rabbi Menachem Nachum Rabinowitz (1887-1959) son of the Admor Rabbi Pinchas Rabinowitz of Kontikoziva. Av Beit Din of Haifa and previously his father’s successor as Rav of Vasnizensk and the Rosh Yeshiva of Koidinov in Baranovich. Rabbeinu received his Hora’ah Semich from Rabbi Chaim of Brisk and additional rabbis. His Divrei Torah appear in Sefer Machshevet Nachum.
