On the flyleaf, a notation: for Rabbi Pinchas Yaakov Hacohen Levin – apparently, the son of Rabbi Chanoch Zvi Hacohen Levin (the son-in-law of the Admor of Ger the Sefat Emet), the son-in-law of his uncle Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman and by his second marriage, the son-in-law of his uncle Rabbi Simcha Bonem Levin. One of the leaders of Agudat Yisrael and Beit Yaakov and editor of the Beit Yaakov journal. The brother of Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Levin, one of the leaders of Agudat Yisrael. His son, Bonem Levin, was the manager of the Beit Yaakov institute for teachers.
