Sefer HaIlan Hagadol – with large Kabbalistic illustrations and sketches – Warsaw, 1893
On the flyleaf, the signature of the Tzaddik Kabbalist Rabbi Aharon Avraham Slotky of Jerusalem with an interesting notation, indicating his greatness: אמר המבקר הספר הזה לא יושג אלא לגומרי הספר עץ חיים שכבר באו פנימה בשערי הקבלה ולאלו אין צורך בציורים אבל מן הראוי היה לצייר כל דבר בפרטות על סדר ההתחלה ודו’ק"
Every page is printed on one side of the leaf, the other left blank. On most pages, larhe Kabbalistic illustrations.
12 pp. (three leaves at the beginning, including the title page, are missing).
Tears. Good condition.
Rabbi Raphael Aharon Avraham Slotky (1883-1976) the son of Rabbi Moshe of Kalisch, one of the greatest Kabbalists of Jerusalem. A leading disciple of the famed Kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Shaul Dweik (the Sadeh) and Rabbi Moshe Alfandri. One of the Rosh Yeshivas of the Sha’ar Hashamayim yeshiva of Kabbalists – since 1960. In his old age, was the Rosh Yeshiva of the Ahavat Shalom yeshiva of Kabbalists.
