Facsimile of the Bavli Talmud, Munich Codex, which is the only manuscript containing the entire Talmud. Volume I: quality facsimile printed mostly on both sides of the leaf. [2], 293 leaves. Published by Herman Struck author of Mavoh haTalmud – first edition of this important facsimile – Leiden [Holland], 1912. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.


The format of the leaf is such that every page of the Gemore surrounds the Mishna on three of its sides – see pictures. Large volume: 49.5X40 cm. Thick volume. Quality paper with very wide margins. Good overall condition. 

The Munich Codex Hebraica 95 ("Munich, Beyerische Staatbibliothek, Cod. Heb. 95) is the only manuscript containing the entire Bavli Talmud. It was written in Germany or France in the 14th century (completed in 1342) by Shlomo ben Shimshon for Rabbi Matityahu Treves, the Rav of Paris in the second half of the 14th century. Today is owned by the Munich Library.
