Important Judaica. Ink on parchment, ketivat stam, on the ketubah of the groom Yedidya Menachem ben Aharon Haim Galici, and the bride Leah HaMitkarei Avigail Hava Tamar bat HaAluf Avraham Baruch Haviv. They were married on 12th of Shvat, 1790. Decorated with verses, blessings for the bride and groom, with artistic writing. Signed as witnesses: Yedidya ben Refael Shlomo Segel (signed on additional ketubot from Sienna in the Israel Museum, at least 75 from the same period), Yitzhak ben Shne’or. 45cm, parchment has filing marks and additional holes, stains from time, and ink. Clear ink in some of the writing. Given in a frame. Generally ok to good condition. Not examined outside the frame. Item was brought to auction from a private collection.
