Lot 91:
Collection of nine interesting letters by the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Luria Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek of Deyzh and Safed.
1. Letter to the Gaon Nachum Etrog – writing he had shown the letter to the Admor Shlita (author of the Knesset Yechezkel) on varied matters on Kollel Ahavat Zion of Safed – Deyzh, 1917.
2. Letter to his nephew the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Matisyahu Luria, a leading Slonim Chassid of Tiberius – about some assets – Safed.
3. Deed signed by Rabbeinu and by Rabbi Meshulam Zussia Luria – Safed, 1912.
4. Deed signed by Rabbeinu and by Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Freen, the manager of Kollel Zibenbergen, Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Hacohen and Rabbi Meir Berger – Safed, 1917.
5. Three letters on small leaves. From when he lived in Deyzh. About Kollel Zibenbergen.
6. Letter to his relative Rabbi Yaakov Shilshon Margolis – Jerusalem.
The wonderous Tzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Luria, served as Dayan of Deyzh and in his old age, immigrated to Safed. One of the leading Chassidim of the Knesset Yechezkel who said of him and his friend Rabbi Shimshon Heiman "אלו לא הייתי חושש מפני מעמדי הייתי נוסע נסיעה לשבת לעיר רעטיאג להני תרי צנתרי דדהבא להתחמם באור עבודתם בקודש…". Was a wonder-worker whose prayers were answered and many came to him for blessings. In his old age, he told his nephew the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Matisyahu: "רבים הפונים אלי מחו"ל להעתיר בעדם אצל המקומות הקדושים, אבל מאחר שאני איש זקן וקשה עלי הטלטול במורד בית העלמין העתיק… אמרתי בלבי, אעשה את שלחני פה בחדר מקום קדוש, אעשה את מיטתי פה מקום קדוש, ואתפלל במעוני…"!!!.
