Sefer Meshech Chochmah "elucidation and commentary, ideas and Drushim, comments and Chidushim on Chamisha Cgumshei Torah – authored by the will of Avinu Shebashamayim" by the Gaon Rabbi Meir Simcha Hacohen Av Beit Din of Dvinsk author of the famed work Or Same’ach on the Rambam.
Edited by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Dober Gaon Av Beit Din of Riga – First edition, Riga 1927. 2217 leaves. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 30. Indeed, Rabbeinu the author did not merit seeing the fruit of his labor in his lifetime since he passed away in Elul 1925. For this reason, he is referred to by the title page as living: "By me Meir Simcha…". Beneath this, the announcement of his passing appears in parenthesis.
New binding. The title page is shorter than the other leaves or was meticulously cut. Some taping. Minor stains. Good overall condition.
On the ttile page, a stamp: "שאול זאב בהרי"צ בערגשטיין ראש מתיבתא בסוקולוב" Rosh Yeshiva in Szczecin, Shedlitz and Sokolov (under the presidency of the Admor of Sokolov Rabbi Yitzchak Zelig Morgenstern). Immigrated to Eretz Yisrael with his family in 1932 and setteled in Jerusalem, where he passed away in 1939 and was laid to rest on the Mount of Olives.
