Buyer's premium:

Manuscript of 4 pages, fine script, containing a wonderful Drush, apparently a draft of a sermon for Shabbat Hagadol.

The Drush begins with the verse of the Haftara of Shabbat Hagadol – "וערבה לה’ מנחת יהודה וירושלים" and then tries to explain, among others, the interesting idea introduced in Sefer Mateh Aharon on the Passover Haggadah (by Rabbi Aharon of Worms – printed for the first time in 1707). The Drush ends with an explanation of this verse in the context of the prayer for Ge’ulat Yisrael. Between the lines, Rabbeinu elucidates many passages of the Passover Haggadah. The manuscript matches Europe of the early 18th century. We did manage to identify the writer’s identity.

4 pp. 20X25.5 cm. Clear old Ashkenazic script. Some dampness stains. Minor moth perforations. Wears to the lower corners, slightly affecting the text. Good overall condition.
